General information, not financial, legal, or tax advice. Verify current terms and eligibility with the provider before applying.

Penta does not serve business customers in India. Penta was a German business banking provider and is now part of Qonto, with its brand and customers moving onto the Qonto platform. As of 4 March 2026, a company registered only in India cannot open a Penta account. Verify the current position with the provider.

Does Penta serve business customers in India?

No. Penta was built for small and medium businesses registered in Germany, and it has been acquired by the French provider Qonto. As of 4 March 2026, Penta no longer takes on new customers under its own brand and existing customers are being moved to Qonto, which itself serves European markets rather than India. A business registered only in India cannot open a Penta account.

Eligibility for businesses in India

Penta expected a business registered in Germany with German company documents and a German tax identity. A company registered only in India does not meet that requirement, so it cannot open a Penta account as of 4 March 2026. Verify with the provider

What it costs locally

There is no India pricing for Penta, because the product is a euro denominated German business account and is not offered to businesses in India. Any historical Penta plan fees applied to German customers in euros, not to rupee accounts. As of 4 March 2026

What local users report

Because Penta is not offered in India and is being folded into Qonto, there is no meaningful local user experience to report for India registered businesses as of 4 March 2026. Businesses that need an Indian account should look at providers confirmed to serve the market.

Penta does not appear to serve business customers in India as of 4 March 2026, or the position is unclear. Verify directly with the provider. Providers confirmed available in India are listed on the India country guide.
