As of 7 August 2025, bunq does not serve business customers registered in Canada. bunq opens Business accounts only for companies registered in a defined list of European countries, with owners and non executives resident in the European Economic Area, and Canada is outside both. A company registered in Canada cannot open a bunq Business account. The alternatives below point to providers that serve Canada today.

Does bunq serve business customers in Canada?

No. bunq is a European neobank, based in the Netherlands, that offers Business accounts to companies registered in a defined list of European countries, currently the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Ireland and Portugal. It also requires the account holders and the businesses ultimate beneficial owners and non executives to be resident in the European Economic Area. Canada is not part of the EEA and is not among the supported countries of registration, so a business registered in Canada cannot open a bunq Business account. As of 7 August 2025.

Eligibility for businesses in Canada

To open a bunq Business account, the business must be registered in one of bunq supported European countries and the people behind it must live in the European Economic Area. Because a Canada registered business meets neither condition, it does not currently qualify. A founder who also operates a company registered in a supported European country and lives in the EEA could apply through that entity, but the account belongs to the European company rather than the Canadian business. This would only change if bunq extended Business account eligibility to Canada. Verify with the provider

What it costs locally

There is no published Canada pricing because the account is not offered to Canada registered businesses. For its supported European markets, bunq publishes tiered subscription plans for business customers, with per use fees for some actions and additional currency features on higher tiers. Local Canadian fees would only exist if bunq onboarded Canadian businesses, which it does not. Confirm any current position directly with the provider. As of 7 August 2025

What local users report

There is no base of Canada registered bunq business customers, since the platform onboards businesses from its supported European countries with EEA resident owners. Entrepreneurs who run a European company and live in the EEA may use bunq there, while their Canadian operations use Canadian providers. Businesses registered in Canada that want online multi currency accounts and cards today generally use Canadian banks and cross border providers that operate in the market. As of 7 August 2025.

bunq does not serve business customers registered in Canada as of 7 August 2025, because it onboards businesses registered in supported European countries with owners resident in the European Economic Area. Verify directly with the provider. Providers confirmed available in Canada are listed on the Canada country guide.
